Once the treatment is finished, we will place an effective retention system to maintain the results over time.

Questions about orthodontics with brackets
How do we perform our orthodontic study?
With photos of the bite, records of the mouth and radiological tests (orthopantomography and teleradiography), our orthodontist will study your facial structure and the position of the teeth in relation to the bone that supports them. This study will allow us to develop a precise treatment plan and thus restore harmony to your smile.
How important are the orthodontist's skills?
Orthodontics is one of the most complex branches of dentistry, each treatment can have different approaches and results. Only talented orthodontists are able to study the patient’s real pathology, plan the case well and achieve esthetic, long-lasting results that are respectful of the patient’s natural teeth.
What types of orthodontics with brackets are there?
Orthodontics with traditional brackets, with esthetic brackets and with brackets behind the teeth, a system called Lingual Incognito. This last system is the most esthetic but the least recommended, since the space in the inner arch of the teeth is limited (the brackets will be closer together), access for the orthodontist is more difficult and the biomechanics are more complex. All this hinders hygiene, speech and case finishing. It also increases visit time and tongue discomfort.
What pathologies do adult braces solve?
Bruxism (clashing of teeth) caused by malocclusion (poor fit between the teeth) and its derivative wear. It repositions teeth that have suffered movements due to dental absences, placing the implants in the optimal position. Solves dental crowding and consequent dental hygiene problems. There are jaw joint pathologies and spinal deviations that can be solved with advanced orthodontic treatment.
