What is bruxism?<\/h2>\n

Bruxism is the involuntary clenching of the teeth. There are two types, clenching with the mouth closed, and grinding, which includes short lateral movements. <\/span><\/p>\n

The most common symptoms are dental wear, muscle contractions, insomnia or ear pain.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main causes of bruxism are either due to inadequate contact between the teeth: problems of occlusion or dental position, or due to stress and sleep disorders.<\/span><\/p>\n
